  1. Only worry about things that are important to you. Don't worry about what your neighbors are doing, or who the local celebrity is dating. If you find yourself becoming overly worried or stressed out about something, ask yourself "why do I care?"
  2. Start watching TV more. Watch more comedies. Laughter will make you forget your troubles. Watching TV will help you relax. You can sit on the couch and enjoy some popcorn and the remote.
  3. Only leave the house when you have to. Who says you have to be a social butterfly? By staying in the house, you won't be bothered by anyone. You can relax in your own world.
  4. Turn off the ringer on your phone and let the answering machine pick up the calls. It'll make you feel important, plus you won't be bothered by someone else's good news that will make you depressed. Who says your life has to be as good as theirs?
  5. Learn to have short conversations. The less time you spend talking to someone, the more you can relax. Keep conversations simple and to the point. If all you have to answer is "yes" or "no," then do so. You don't have to turn a simple question into a long answer.
  6. Do more of the things you love doing. Doing things that are fun will take your mind off your worries.
  7. Work less. If you can afford to work part-time, then do it. It'll alleviate a lot of the work-related stress. Even Better: Find a wealthy person who is gullible enough to take care of you so you can quit your job.
