Site Updates
Mean Mug is switching from boring .html pages to dynamic .php extentions for better manageability. If you are linking to a page on this site other than the root URL then please update your links to point to the proper .php extension. You don't have to change any of the page names just the extention. Heck, you could also copy and past the correct URL from the address bar! If you see any anomalies on the site or pages registering as 404 then please let me know by clicking on the e-mail image to the left to send feedback. It's possible that some pages might have gotten overlooked in the process of going from static pages to dynamic. Thanks!
The Mean Mug site has just undergone an unbelievable make-over! After many complaints of the previous bland, gray background, I have decided to re-design the site to add some color. After a few months of working diligently on the new design, it is now ready to go live! Go to the Message Board and tell me what you think about the new design, or, give me your comments through the new comments e-mail form.
This is currently the 3rd version of my website, as noted in the footer of every page. I no longer have the first version of my site in my personal files, but it is archived at www.archive.com, so check it out. You can also check out the second version of my site and compare it to the new version.
What's New
I have now added an easy way for you to give feedback about the site through the new e-mail form I created using php scripting. I know how much people dislike having to click on an e-mail link and have it bring up their e-mail client, so I've created a much easier way for you to give feedback or ask questions regarding the site.
I've added more color. I'm reluctant to put many graphics on the site, because I know it can be very annoying. So, I've placed graphics sparcely throughout the site. The pages without graphics will contain some of the upcomming "messages of inspiration."
Since I've spent most of my time updating the site, I've had very little time to answer questions sent to me through the advice column. The advice column will be updated regularly with new questions, so keep comming back to Mean Mug for more interesting answers.
Comming Soon
What's comming soon, you ask? I'm working on "messages of inspiration" Mean Mug style! I'll have various messages of "inspiration" posted throughout the different pages of the website to help you better deal with being a jerk. Of course, since you're a jerk, you do need a way to justify your actions, right? Right?!
I'm in the process of learning php, so future Mean Mug designs will incorporate as much php as possible to make it more dynamic.
Miscellaneous Site Information
I worked sporadically over a span of about 3 months to create the new layout. The easiest part was creating the new layout. The most time-consuming parts were working all the information from the old design into the new one. The hardest parts about creating the new layout were making sure everything displayed exactly how I wanted, which I'm still working on. So, if you find any inconsistancies between pages, or any broken links, then please let me know so I can correct them. I'm still working on the site to make sure every little detail is to my liking.
